Install LingType

Download the .pkg installer and follow the setup wizard. Works on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.

Optional email signup is available for release updates. Downloads are hosted on GitHub Releases.

Installation Steps

  1. Double-click the downloaded .pkg file and follow the installer.
  2. Open System Settings → Keyboard → Input Sources → click "+" → search "LingType" → Add.
  3. If prompted, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Input Monitoring → enable LingType.
  4. You may need to log out and log back in for LingType to appear in the input source list.
Note for unsigned builds
This build is not yet notarized. If macOS blocks the installer, right-click the .pkg → Open, or go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → click "Open Anyway".
